A Little Bit of This and a Little Bit of That.......

Now that Brooks is a TODDLER, I will just post pics of special events, etc. instead of his monthly "chair" pic. For some reason, these pictures are posting blurry??? Each week Brooks is saying more and more words......"aqua, glasses, bottle, aqua, dog, Bella, aqua, thank you (tank you), juice, and aqua!" He happens to be obsessed with the most messy and inconvenient activity.....aqua. Nope, we don't like watching "Thomas the Train," playing with cars indoors, cartoons, etc. like several kiddos I know. Brooks likes water.....any and all kinds. He doesn't care if it is in the toilet, water hose, bucket, faucet, pool or showering down from above! Oh, and did I mention that he now heads right out the doggy door toward the water hose (head first, of course).

"Rain.....what's that?" We haven't had any rain in MONTHS. This is, however, a very cheap and easy activity. I wish it would rain more:)
Alex came to visit and got some exercise chasing Brooks!
Pool time
Yes, he likes to be dunked (literally) and put his face in the water

We went over to Kim and Austin's house. I usually try to keep all doors to bathrooms closed. Remember the aqua......disgusting! Caught red-handed in the toilet.....ughhh!
Cutie Carter
Brooks and Layton.......much different from their first play date last year
My how times have changed!
Already holding hands with the pretty ladies!

Squashed between the girls......doesn't get any better than this!
Eating pizza in his own big boy chair
Brooks' nanny is having a baby girl
Brooks LOVES Berta

A little back-tracking.....in April, I went to San Antonio with my girlfriends. Brooks got a vacation as well. He went to his GREAT Aunt Rhonda's house in Boerne. Too bad he didn't get any attention (ha ha).....

Blessed Beyond Measure.....

This year has been a whirlwind. Trent and I could not be more blessed to have experienced this last year with our little guy. I used to see children all the time and say, "wow, you've grown!" But now, as a parent, it is so different when you see them EVERY DAY and get the opportunity to watch their every milestone. From the first time he held his head up/rolled over/ate baby food, etc. to taking his first steps and saying his first words, I. CAN'T. BELIEVE. IT!!! When I look back and read my blog posts from this time last year, I can't believe how much I have changed. Do you remember that post......not so pleasant to say the least! With all the bad has come the good x 1 million!

As you can see, I have delayed this post due to sooooo many pictures! April has been very busy, and I plan to get in another post tonight of Brooks' trip to Boerne.

Enjoy the pictures and thank you for sharing in Brooks' life:)

Birthday Party with the Booher's. Brooks got a new wagon, toy truck and cute, cute clothes. Thank you, everyone!

11 months down.....

and only 1 more to go! Yep, our 'lil cowboy is almost one! Trent and I agree that in the past month he has "grown-up" so much. He tries to say words.........or maybe we're imagining it! He definitely says "dada," but we also hear him say "ba ba" each time he wants a bottle. Also, and some may think this is crazy, he says his own version of "thank you" when he hands us an object. He mimics us frequently (i.e. facial expressions, clapping, stomping feet, etc). To get our attention, he points and screams at what he wants to show us. I know, I know.....this is normal and what all babies do. This is just our first rodeo, so we think it's amazing! This Spring has already been very eventful, and we have many more adventures planned!

Happy St Patty's Day! Suzanne, Kyle and Kate had us over for dinner
Little Miss Kate in her adorable outfit (as always)
Brooks CANNOT keep his hands still. He has to grab, pinch, poke everything. "That sock looks like so much fun that I CANNOT stop and smile for the camera!"
Play date at Boek's. He has a train track that was fun to destroy!
"Excuse me.....I have some work to do."
"Oh yea......got me a new tricycle!"
Brooks loves pestering Sam, and she is so patient.
It is getting very difficult to get him to sit still. This is the last time I use this sign and try to get him to sit in the chair. It' over, folks!
"I am too old for this mom. I'm OUT OF HERE!"
In a matter of seconds, he was off the chair. DONE
