The Holiday Season...

has gotten the best of me! Between Thanksgiving and the beginning of Christmas, I have yet to update our blog. As always, I uploaded everything out of order. Why would I change things, right?!

As the cold weather approaches, Brooks is wanting to be outside more and more. He knows that he needs his jacket and hood on, but doesn't mind as long as he is outside with Sam, his new best friend. I am finding it more difficult to keep this little guy busy and occupied. Therefore, I will be organizing the upstairs into his little play room after the holidays. Hopefully, this will keep all of us more sane!

We went to Lubbock in early November for Brooks to meet Hallie. After breaking several of Nana's vases, rearranging all her decorations, making a mess in the country club and breaking his aunt's camera, Brooks made his mark!
Tuff guy
Kissing cousin Hallie
"Really, how much longer do we have to do this?"
Brooks kept yelling "bye bye" to Santa. "Why are you making me sit on this creepy guy's lap, mom?"

Kisses from Kate (yes, we still have the monkey....aka "uh oh")
Brooks HAD to take his drill to Thanksgiving. Rhonda's foot had to be fixed, right?
And you see why we don't have a Christmas card! Brooks WOULD NOT cooperate....ughhh!
We tried it all!
Lots and lots of fun family time at Aunt Rhonda's house
Wrestling with Uncle Cullen

"Dad, can you not get this thing going?"
"Here, just let me figure it out."
Much better ride in the car now that Brooks can watch Elmo...."da da, ta da, da da, ta da....Elmo's World, Elmo's World" This song is in my head constantly, now!

October Fun

October was filled with several fun, Halloween activities. I will let the pictures tell the story....

If you need anything done around the house, just call Mr. Fix-it!

Just copying what daddy does!
Getting ready for trick or treat.....Brooks missed the memo that golfers wear hats and don't walk around with a lovie in their mouth! Oh well!
Concentration
Tried to eat the candy AS SOON as he got it!

Another golfer in the neighborhood
"Come on daddy!"

Mimi and Jake
Pants were a little too small!

All ready for the trick or treaters

"Don't mind if I do!"
Waiting for more....
"No night-night"

October Fun continued.....

And the month goes on....
Daddy's 33rd birthday par-tay!

Look at momma getting creative.....thank you, pinterest!
"You better get these pics quick, mom.....I HATE this hat!"

"These people look crazy......GET ME OUT OF HERE!"
Needless to say, Brooks did not like the Halloween parade!
Mimi and a crying golfer
Brooks' classroom party. I think their little table and chairs are so cute!
The only kid that cleaned his plate, seriously!
Picking pumpkins
First carousel ride
Brooks was fascinated by the giraffes at the zoo. And no, this was not real (Trent asked!)!
"Mom, why do you always call me a little monkey? I don't look like that, do I?"
He would literally try to touch the animals and get his little hands through the fence!
My best bud, Mia, at the zoo

Double Trouble....

This whole post got messed up, and I am too lazy to fix it! This picture is out of order----I KNOW!

Boo! This little cutie came to visit us a couple of weeks ago......quite the adventure with one 17 month old and one 19 month old. NON-STOP! Chase is one adorable little boy. Megan and I spent most of our weekend just watching them play and repeating, "aren't these the cutest little boys ever?" Who would have known 10 years ago that Megan and I would be moms to two, rowdy little boys. For those of you that know the "deposit" story, we have actually grown up a bit:)
Dinner time was a mess! I looked over at Suzanne, who has two, sweet and clean little girls, and heard her say (under her breath), "I have never seen anything like this!" Thank goodness for my garbage disposal dogs!
And a big boy, Eli, also came to visit. What a difference one year makes....Eli is definitely more well-behaved! If you look in the background, you will also see a "glimpse" of Caroline, Suzanne and Kyle's new little addition.
Bath time is fun!
Little toots

And back in.....
And back out.....
