Wrapping up the holidays.....

and bringing in the New Year. Now that the holidays are over, I can finally find the time to update our blog. We spent a white Christmas in Lubbock and NYE with wonderful friends. In the past few weeks, Brooks has had a "word explosion," and is keeping Trent and I entertained with our daily conversations. We are looking forward to what 2012 has in store for our little family.

Ready to open my gifts in my new Christmas pj's
Aunt Hayley with the Cookie Monster...."nom, nom, nom!" This is Brooks favorite character.
Nothing better that drumming ALL day long. Dad loves this!
"Vroooom""
Granny
New set of toddler golf clubs and bag from Jake and Mimi
Needs a little help with the swing!
Check 'em out!
"Airpannnnne" Brooks yells this as we watch airplanes on our way to Lubbock
"Brrrr....it's so cold"
Love these boys
Nana with Brooks and Hallie
Trent got Gonky a hat
Chase had to make the blog!
And the cookie monster, again!
SANTA
Snow on Christmas morning
Little munchkins on Christmas morning
And then our trip to the urgent clinic a few hours later....nothing better than a double ear infection on Christmas morning
"Here's to 2012......."

The Holiday Season...

has gotten the best of me! Between Thanksgiving and the beginning of Christmas, I have yet to update our blog. As always, I uploaded everything out of order. Why would I change things, right?!

As the cold weather approaches, Brooks is wanting to be outside more and more. He knows that he needs his jacket and hood on, but doesn't mind as long as he is outside with Sam, his new best friend. I am finding it more difficult to keep this little guy busy and occupied. Therefore, I will be organizing the upstairs into his little play room after the holidays. Hopefully, this will keep all of us more sane!

We went to Lubbock in early November for Brooks to meet Hallie. After breaking several of Nana's vases, rearranging all her decorations, making a mess in the country club and breaking his aunt's camera, Brooks made his mark!
Tuff guy
Kissing cousin Hallie
"Really, how much longer do we have to do this?"
Brooks kept yelling "bye bye" to Santa. "Why are you making me sit on this creepy guy's lap, mom?"

Kisses from Kate (yes, we still have the monkey....aka "uh oh")
Brooks HAD to take his drill to Thanksgiving. Rhonda's foot had to be fixed, right?
And you see why we don't have a Christmas card! Brooks WOULD NOT cooperate....ughhh!
We tried it all!
Lots and lots of fun family time at Aunt Rhonda's house
Wrestling with Uncle Cullen

"Dad, can you not get this thing going?"
"Here, just let me figure it out."
Much better ride in the car now that Brooks can watch Elmo...."da da, ta da, da da, ta da....Elmo's World, Elmo's World" This song is in my head constantly, now!

October Fun

October was filled with several fun, Halloween activities. I will let the pictures tell the story....

If you need anything done around the house, just call Mr. Fix-it!

Just copying what daddy does!
Getting ready for trick or treat.....Brooks missed the memo that golfers wear hats and don't walk around with a lovie in their mouth! Oh well!
Concentration
Tried to eat the candy AS SOON as he got it!

Another golfer in the neighborhood
"Come on daddy!"

Mimi and Jake
Pants were a little too small!

All ready for the trick or treaters

"Don't mind if I do!"
Waiting for more....
"No night-night"
